SkyValue ADVISORY: Important Airport Update
SkyValue USA would like to remind passengers to please arrive at least 1-1/2 hours before their flight departure time. This will allow for passengers to park, pocket option broker check-in with their airline and clear through airport security.

What is SkyValue?

SkyValue is an indirect air carrier providing air travel at affordable rates. SkyValue offers flights operated by Xtra Airways.

Does SkyValue have a First or Business Class section ?
SkyValue is proud to announce "SkyValue Business Class."  As a special introductory offer, you can purchase a Non-Discounted Full Economy Class fare and fly in SkyValue Business Class.  Seats are limited.

SkyValue Business Class offers 12 leather seats in a separate cabin located in the front of the aircraft.  Complimentary nonalchoholic and alcoholic beverages are served along with an upgraded variety of snacks.

Do you offer upgrades to Business Class ?
Yes.  Should seats be available on the day of your departure, you may upgrade to SkyValue Business Class for a nominal fee.  This can only be done at the Airport.  Please inquire upon check in.

What are SkyValue fares ?
SkyValue fares are priced competitively with fares starting as low as $79.00 one way inclusive of the 7.5% federal excise tax. Not included:  Flight segment tax up to $3.40 for one take off and landing, the September 11th security fee of up to $5.00 and airport taxes up to $9.00.

How can I purchase travel?
Travel is ticketless.  Reservations and travel purchases can be completed with ease and convenience via the FlySkyValue web site (http://www.flyskyvalue.com/), through your local travel agent utilizing the code XP in Amadeus, Sabre or Worldspan GDS systems, or by calling 1 866-796-6117. Cash only sales are possible at the Gary/Chicago International Airport.

What credit cards do you accept ?
American Express, MasterCard and VISA.

Is there a frequent flyer program and how do I enroll ?
At this time there is no frequent flyer program.

Do I need to reconfirm?
Passengers must confirm flights as well as arrival and departure terminal information 24 hours in advance of travel at the call center.

Can I change my travel and if so how do I go about it ?
Every ticketless itinerary is sold with its own set of rules and regulations which you would have been advised at pocket option is legal in india time of booking. If you purchased your transportation through SkyValue, please contact SkyValue reservations. If you purchased through a travel agent, please call your agent or their designated representative.

Note: All changes will incur a change fee of $50.00

I have already purchased my transportation and have seen specials for a less expensive fare.   Can I get the lower price ?
There are times that due to cancellations, a previously sold out lower fare may become available. You do have the option to change your existing reservation but a change fee will apply. A $50 fee per person per change applies to any change made after purchase, plus if applicable any increase in airfare. Changes to your reservation must occur no later than 1 hour prior to departure.

If you wish to change your reservation, please contact our reservation center at 1-866-796-6117. If you originally booked your reservation at FlySkyValue.com, kindly contact our reservations center to make your changes.

The sale fare that I saw advertised is not displayed.   Where can I find that fare?

There are several possible reasons you may not be able to find a certain sale fare. You might be searching for a day that the sale fares are not available. You may be looking for cities that are not included in the current sale. Or we might have already sold out of seats on the exact flight or day that you are searching for the fares. Seats are limited and subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights.

Does SkyValue offer lower-priced fares for bereavement or emergency travel?

As a low-fare carrier, SkyValue does not offer additional discounts for bereavement or emergency travel.

Can I call SkyValue to book web deals ?

Yes, FlySkyValue.com web deals are special fares and can be booked by calling our reservations center, but seats may not be available.

What time do I check in ?
The suggested check in time is 90 minutes prior to your flight departure time.

Can I arrange a visit to the flight deck?
For security reasons, visits to the flight deck are not permitted.

Are there on-board amenities ?
Passengers traveling in Business Class will be offered complimentary alcoholic beverages as well as soft drinks, water, juices and a selection of snacks.

Passengers traveling in Economy Class will be offered complimentary Soft drinks, water, juices along with a snack pack. Wines and liquors are available for $5.00.

Passengers traveling on the 737-800 (flights up to and including April 22, 2007) where Inflight entertainment is available, using your own personal headphones is permitted . Should you wish to purchase ear buds, they are available for $5.00. 

Flights from April 23, 2007 and later will be operated by the 737-400 where inflight entertainment is not applicable.

Do you have Children/Infant and Senior Citizen fares ?
Children pay the standard adult fare. Infants under the age of 2 years not holding a seat will be carried for free. At this time Senior Citizen discounts are not applicable.

Do you accept unaccompanied minors ?
Yes, we do. Children between the ages of 6 and 11 years traveling alone are accepted and pay the regular adult fare. Please let us know that a child will be traveling unaccompanied when making their reservation and be prepared to supply the reservation agent with the name, address and phone number, as it appears on the photo ID of the person dropping off and picking up the child. There is a $25.00 fee each way for unaccompanied minors which will be assessed at time of reservation for each flight. We request that the person dropping off the child remains in the terminal until the flight has departed. Picking up unaccompanied minors – Please arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival

Do you offer special assistance (Medical, wheelchair, meet and assist) ?
Yes, however, when booking through the GDS please send an SSR message or contact FlySkyValue directly by calling 1 866-796-6117. Requests for special assistance must be made at least 48 hours before departure.

What is allowed on the aircraft for passengers with portable oxygen needs ?
We will accept any type of OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS, since the FAA approved their use in July 2006.  We can not accept passengers who require the use of Personal Oxygen Bottles or Oxygen GENERATORS

The Oxygen Concentrators take the cabin air and concentrate it into a cleaner oxygen for the individual.  Oxygen Generators are not approved by the FAA and are dangerous to carry. Personal Oxygen Bottles are considered hazardous materials (HazMat)and will not be allowed onboard our aircraft.

What kind of documentation do I need to travel ?
Aside from your ticket or travel receipt, a valid government issued ID (i.e. Passport, Birth Certificates, State issued ID, Drivers License). Passengers who do not have the required travel documents at time of check in will not be able to travel.

What is your free baggage allowance?
Baggage allowance is 50 pounds per bag (two bags maximum, plus one carry-on not to exceed 45 inches combined overall dimensions) per paying passenger. Any excess, overweight or over sized bags will be accepted subject to load restrictions and at additional charges. The charges are: Excess baggage $50.00 for each piece after the free allowed. Overweight baggage: $25.00 from 50 to 70 pounds and $65.00 from 71 to 100 pounds.

Oversize baggage up to a maximum size of 80 inches for a fee of $65.00 per bag. Bags over 80 inches will not be accepted. NOTE: All checked bags MUST be unlocked for security purposes.

How are lost or damaged baggage claims handled ?
All claims for lost or damaged baggage must be filed at the point of final destination to the Xtra Airways baggage service representative. A claims report must be completed and a copy will be given to the passenger. An Xtra Airways baggage service representative will trace each claim and contact the passenger with a status.

Is there carry-on allowance?
Yes. SkyValue passengers are restricted to one carry-on item and one personal item. Personal items include handbags, umbrellas, walking sticks, crutches, folding walkers, coats, cameras, reading matter, infant food, briefcases and laptop computers.

What are the carry-on baggage policies for traveling with liquids in your carry-on baggage?

As you prepare for your travels, please take a few minutes to learn about what to expect at the airport. Travel size liquids, aerosols and gels are allowed in carry-on baggage if they are in containers that are 3.4 oz (100ml) or smaller.

What to do:

  • Pack your 3.4 oz. (100ml) containers in a single, clear, one-quart zip-top plastic bag. Empty containers (that could contain liquids) are not allowed; and neither are partially used larger containers.

  • Only one one-quart plastic bag is allowed per passenger, and the contents of the bag must fit comfortably inside.

    Here are a few examples:

  • Toothpaste

  • Beverages

  • Creams

  • Hair products

  • Sun screen

  • Mascara/lipgloss

If you’re traveling with gifts, wait until you reach your destination to wrap! If a TSA security officer needs to inspect your bag, they may have to unwrap your packages. Also, the TSA liquid policy applies to gift items as well as toiletries. Ship them ahead of time or put them in your checked baggage.

Here are a few examples:

  • Perfumes

Remember, always arrive at the airport ninety minutes to two hours before departure time.

Medication & Special Needs Devices ?

Please make sure your medications are properly labeled with a professionally printed label identifying the medication and manufacturer's name or pharmaceutical label. The prescription medicine must match the name on the passenger's ticket.

All disability-related equipment, aids, and devices continue to be allowed through security checkpoints once cleared through screening.

What are the policies for sporting equipment ?
BICYCLES
Non-motorized Bicycles, will be accepted as checked baggage at no additional charge provided the limit of two checked bags is not exceeded; the bicycle is properly packaged; and the box containing the bicycle fits within the 62-inch sizing limit and does not weigh more than 50 lbs. (The maximum weight is 50 pounds and the maximum size is 62 inches (length + width + height) per checked piece of luggage). Handlebars, kickstand, and pedals must be removed and placed inside the box. A $50.00 each-way charge applies to bicycles that don’t meet the above criteria. Bicycles packaged in a cardboard box or soft-sided case will be transported as a conditionally accepted item. 
 
GOLFCLUBS
Golf Clubs that are in a hooded or soft-sided golf bag will be accepted on a conditional basis. Golf clubs that are transported in a hard, plastic travel case should be tagged with a regular tag. Golf equipment includes golf clubs, golf balls, and golf shoes, contained in one bag. Golf equipment will be included in the free baggage allowance of two pieces. Should this limit be exceeded, excess baggage fees will apply.
 
SCUBA EQUIPMENT
Scuba eqiupment will be transportated on a conditional basis as checked baggage provided the SCUBA tank is verifiably empty and the valves are removed at the time of acceptance. SCUBA equipment includes masks, flippers, and a tank Scuba equipment will be included in the free baggage allowance of two peices. Should this limit be exceeded, excess baggage fees will apply.
 
BOOGIEBOARDS
boogieboards may be checked in substitution of one piece of the free baggage allowance for each fare-paying passenger at no charge on a one-for one basis. Overweight charges may apply.
 
WINDSURFING/SAIL BOARDS 
Windsurfing/Sail boards may be transported as checked baggage for a fixed charge of $50.00 each way. They must be transported with keel removed and placed in checked baggage to prevent damage to the sail, boom, and other baggage.
 
SURFBOARDS
Surfboards will be transported as checked baggage for a fixed charge of $50.00 each way. Keels and fins must be removed and placed in carryon or checked baggage to prevent damage to other baggage.

Do you allow pets ?
Yes. Only two pets are permitted per flight as carry on. Your one pet and carrier will be counted as your personal item. Pets, including dogs, cats and household birds,(canaries, finches, parakeets) can travel with you if they are small enough to fit and stay comfortably in an approved container under the seat in front of you. This would mean no larger than 8.5” high x 17” long x 12” wide. The weight of the pet plus carrier cannot exceed 40 Pounds.  The carrier must be leak-proof and escape proof.  The passenger will not be permitted in a row immediately behind the bulkhead or adjacent to an emergency exit. Tropical birds such as Parrots are not permitted. Seeing Eye Dogs are always welcome.

All passengers traveling with pets must provide health records within 30 days of travel stating that their pet is healthy and shots are up to date.  Failure to provide this information will deny passenger boarding on their desired flight.

The animal must remain in the container while on board the aircraft and the container must be closed and sealed from time of entry into the aircraft until after deplaning.

Limit one animal per container, one container per passenger. Passengers traveling with pets as carry-on must indicate so at time of booking.

Pets that are larger than allowed to travel in the cabin must be checked. Only one animal traveling as checked baggage is permitted per flight. The maximum weight of the animal must not exceed 50 pounds. The pet must travel in an approved container that must not exceed 20 pounds. A non-refundable fee of $65.00 per flight will apply.

What are your policies on guns and ammunition ?

Guns

  • Customers are responsible for knowing and following the firearms laws of the state(s) that they will be traveling to and from.

  • Our Customers must declare the gun to the Customer Service Agent at the ticket counter (no firearms will be accepted curbside) and prove that the firearm(s) chambers are free of ammunition and the magazine clip has been removed (when applicable). Paintball guns and BB guns are considered the same as all other firearms.

  • Paintball guns are allowed in checked baggage and are not subject to the container requirements of firearms. Customers must declare the paintball gun to the Customer Service Agent at the ticket counter. Compressed gas cylinders are allowed in checked baggage or as a carryon only if the regulator valve is completely disconnected from the cylinder and the cylinder is no longer sealed (i.e. the cylinder has an open end). TSA Security Screeners must visibly ensure that the cylinder is completely empty and that there are no prohibited items inside.

  • Firearms must be encased in a hard-sided, LOCKED container that is of sufficient strength to withstand normal handling, as follows:

    1. A firearm in a hard-sided, locked container may be placed inside a soft-sided, unlocked suitcase.

    2. A firearm placed inside a hard-sided, locked suitcase does not have to be encased in a container manufactured for the transportation of firearms.

    3. Only the Customer checking the luggage should retain the key or combination to the lock. No exceptions will be made.

  • Firearms may be checked and will count toward the free baggage allowance for each fare-paying passenger. We allow multiple firearms to be transported inside one hard-sided case.

  • SkyValue assumes no liability for the misalignment of sights on firearms, including those equipped with telescopic sights.

  • Firearms are never allowed in carryon luggage.

Ammunition

  • Small arms ammunition for personal use (provided it is properly packed) is permissible in checked baggage only.

  • The ammunition may be placed in the same container as the firearm and must be securely packed in cardboard (fiber), wood, or metal boxes, or other packaging specifically designed to carry small amounts of ammunition.

  • When checking ammunition, Customers are limited to 11 pounds gross weight (ammunition plus container) per person.

  • Magazines or clips containing ammunition must be securely packaged (placed in another small box or in a secure cutout in the carrying case, in order to protect the primer of the ammunition).

  • Make sure guns are unloaded and definitely never transport a gun in your carryon baggage!

  • Gunpowder (black powder) and primers or percussion caps are not allowed in checked or carryon baggage.

  • Loose ammunition or loose loaded magazines and/or clips are not allowed.

  • Paintballs must be packaged in a leak-proof container and will be conditionally accepted.
